Oure Director
Tim Harbold has served as OP's Music Director since 2005. Conductor, arranger, and pianist, Mr. Harbold is Associate Professor, Director of Music in Performance, and Choral Director at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. He is a versatile musician, at home performing music ranging from classical to musical theatre to gospel and jazz. His choral arrangements have been premiered at the New England Conservatory, and include numerous gospel songs and spirituals, reflecting his experience as a Gospel Choir director. As a pianist, Mr. Harbold specialized in American song. With colleagues in American Classics' Smart Set he has toured throughout New England and New York, performing music of Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Irving Berlin and the like. The group's "Noel and Cole" CD has been praised by Billboard, and their Fred Astaire and Ethel Merman show has twice been nominated for Best Cabaret Ensemble by the Independent Reviewers of New England.
