'Tis the Season to Audition!
As the autumn of 2022 arrives we are looking forward to a full season of in-person choral singing and a full concert schedule.
Are you looking for an exciting experience singing in a small choral ensemble? Oure Pleasure Singers, based in Attleboro, MA, is preparing for its 39th season and we are hosting auditions for all vocal parts on September 6th and 13th. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays in Attleboro from 7:00PM until 9:00PM.
During the audition you will work with our Director (Nicholas Rocha), who will put you through several guided vocal exercises. You will also sing in a quartet and sight read your part. To schedule your audition, please email us at audition@opsingers.org, providing us with contact information. (If you are interested but can’t make those two dates, individual auditions may also be arranged by appointment through October 18th.)
Oure Pleasure is a group of 16 to 20 singers who enjoy singing excellent music in an atmosphere of diligent work and good fellowship. Since 1983, Oure Pleasure has sung an eclectic variety of sacred and secular music, bringing our love of great music to the community. In 2018, OP took top honors on the popular WGBH series Sing That Thing. In an ensemble of this size each voice gets to shine and to make a real difference. Come join the fun!
For the 2022-23 season, we are planning an Advent program and a spring secular program, which will be performed at two venues.

Now is best leisure to take oure pleasure ...
from Thomas Morley's Sing We and Chant It
Oure Pleasure Singers is a small group of vocalists dedicated to the joy of serious music-making. Comprised of singers from Providence, Attleboro, and surrounding communities, the ensemble sings an eclectic variety of music, ranging from plainchant to jazz, and embracing both the sacred and the secular.
Based in Attleboro MA, Oure Pleasure was founded in 1983 by friends who were seeking the special enjoyment of a small, closely-knit vocal ensemble. In its earlier days, Oure Pleasure concentrated on madrigals and music of the Renaissance and Medieval periods, and its name is borrowed from the words of the madrigal Sing We and Chant It, once its signature piece.
